On a Harry Potter - related note…

Monarch owes me a tenner.

I bet him £10 Herminone won’t die. And she doesn’t. So I WIN.

this is whats called a ‘dilemna’, children

If theres one thing that will send me into a gibbering, straight-jacket-clad mental patient, its these things.

Damn them. Its like getting money but having to chose between 5 or so things to buy with it. I must have spent about an hour split between HMV nad WHSmiths today, looking for things to buy with it. I ended up with a single magazine.

I’m pretty sure I said to myself, somewhat over-audiably, something along the lines of “Should I get that? Nah, I’ll just regret it later. I’ll get that if I don’t get that..but then what about that?” What resulted was a mixture of confusion, frustration and mild nasusea. In that order.

To be fair, its better to receive one of these than, say, a hankerchief set as a gift, and I’m grateful nonetheless (I’ll probably be back next weekend) but I still found a cup of Starbucks hot chcolate the most rewarding part of today.

shiny

Once again, I took my usual weekend going-into-town venture today. My thoughts are that both pens and compilation CDs are too expensive, and you can’t get a decent bass guitar magazine anywhere. You just can’t.

Oh well. I’m not really bothered. Because I have this:

Shiny, no?

It does EVERYTHING. Take pictures, movies, plays music, has expandable memory, and is filled with those little things that you always expect to come as standard and then, when you actually need them, aren’t actually included. Like timers and a little torch. A torch! No other piece of electrical equipment I own or have ever owned so successfully blends style, functionality, sexuality, bravado, courage, honesty, intensity, thoughtfulness, ethical commitment, athleticism, historical relevancy, height, surface area, tornado warnings, thermal radiation, and caramel.  Awesome.

By the way, this was all just an extended way of telling you my new mobile number is 07907698689. Bye!

It was my birthday party yesterday, at my regular birthday dinner location- Pizza Hut, Orbital Centre.

All my closest friends were there, and the food was excellent (except for when I got some onion in my mouth…bleh). Although I think the waitress though we were a bit stupid for having no idea what to order.

NOW! Presents. I like presents. Especially when they are brown and fizzy, although Diet Coke from Germany tastes a bit weird. I also got several books, Travel Hangman, a HMV gift card and a tenner. Nice. (my money-count has now reached £205. ker-ching!). Anyway, many thanks to everyone.

Unfortunately, it no longer feels like its my birthday. It shouldn’t, but I’m still a little bummed. Oh well. I’m glad I have all this stuff to get me through this difficult time…
